Dzemaili possibly out for the season
Parma midfielder Blerim Dzemaili may be out injured for the rest of the season as he sustained a serious injury during the match against Palermo on Saturday. He was taken off in the first half after falling awkwardly twisting his knee and immediately being rushed to the local hospital. According to the doctors report Dzemaili suffed a partial ligament injury to his left knee but as of yet recovery time can't be set for definite. Guidolin names squad against Palermo
After training today Parma manager Francesco Guidolin listed the 18 man squad to take on Palermo tomorrow evening. The only noticeable absence is Alberto Paloschi who was deemed not fit enough despite recovering from his injury to resume training in midweek. Recent signings Luis Jimenez and Francesco Valiani are in the squad while Hernan Crespo is out injured. Paloschi back in training after injury
Parma striker Alberto Paloschi finally reported back to team training today after a long series of small injuries. He has been out of action since appearing briefly during Parma's 2-1 defeat away to Livorno 3 weeks ago. But he is now in contention to be named in the squad for the match against Palermo on Saturday particularly as Hernan Crespo is unlikely to be match fit in time.
OFFICIAL: Mariga to Inter Milan
After Manchester City's deal fell through due to work permit issues earlier today, Inter Milan have stepped in and secured Mcdonald Mariga's signature in a co-ownership deal. The deal includes Biabiany being bought on co-ownership aswell as the loan of Luis Jimenez (currently at West Ham) and around 3 million euros. Mariga will move to Inter Milan immediately as will Jimenez to Parma who should be available for Sundays match against Palermo.
Mariga Manchester City deal falls through
Mcdonald Mariga's proposed transfer to Manchester City fell through today as he failed to secure a work permit. Mariga's 24 caps for Kenya were enough to secure the 75% of recent internationals required by FIFA however failed as Kenya are ranked outside of the top 70 in the world rankings. Manchester City can appeal the decision again in the summer however for the time being Mariga remains a Parma player.
Parma v Inter Milan called off due to snowfall
This afternoons Serie A match against Inter Milan has been called off due to heavy snowfall that occurred overnight. The pitch was covered by protective tarpaulin but a sheet of ice had developed in the stands making the stadium unsafe for supporters. Lega Calcio has called off the game which has now been rescheduled for Wednesday 10 February. Parma's next match will be against Palermo at Renzo Barbera on Sunday 07 February.
