Parma have today anounced the sacking of coach Luigi Cagni after a poor start, by Parma’s standards, to the Serie B season.

Earlier this evening, ex-Palermo manager Francesco Guidolin was announced as Cagni’s successor at the Crociati helm.

Parma looked disappointing in their goalless draw with fellow strugglers Brescia.

Both teams struggled to create any scoring oppurtunities and a draw seemed a fair result after a poor game of football from both sides.

Parma are still looking for their first win in three games after being held to a 2:2 draw by Frosinone.

Santoruvo opened the scoring before Paloschi quickly equalized. Lucarelli put Parma ahead just after halftime but former Parma striker Dedic pulled it back to level terms from the penalty spot.

Parma went down 1:0 to Grosseto in their second defeat of the season.

A scrappy Lazzari goal on the 15 minute mark separated the two sides at the final whistle.

Parma young gun Alberto Paloschi took time out with the official site and spoke of how the team needs to put their technical superiority to one side and be more aggressive with their opponents.

He also explained his frustration at not being able to convert any of his chances against Albinoleffe.
