Player Biography
José Fernando Marqués began his career with his local club Rayo Vallecano making a total of thirty five appearances for the youth side which in 2004 earned him a move to Racing Santander.
However he failed to settle down with Racing and after falling out with the management was sent on a series of loans where he eventually found himself settled in Greece with Iraklis Thessaloniki.
At the end of his two year contract Marqués returned to Spain in 2009 with Espanyol and had a very impressive season which almost put him in contention for a place on Vicente Del Bosque’s World Cup squad list.
Following this Parma offered him a three year contract which he duly accepted signing officially in July 2010.
