Parma’s Swiss international midfielder Blerim Dzemaili spoke today to journalists from the team retreat in Levico Terme about how prepared he feels for the new season.

“After the long injury I had towards the end of last season I was determined to work hard and get back to my best fitness as soon as possible to be able to help the team.”

“I feel very happy here it’s almost like being part of a family and to have a squad that is that united can only help us in the long season ahead.”

“My best position would be to play as  a deep lying playmaker in front of the defence. However I will gladly play wherever the manager wants me to just as when I first came to Italy the coach asked me to play wing forward!”

“It is very important to get off to the best possible start next season. We can’t get complacent by thinking we are better than teams the first three games are crucial.”
