Parma have signed former Fiorentina midfielder Massimo Gobbi on a free transfer as cover for the injured Daniele Galloppa.

Gobbi joined Fiorentina in 2006 and decided to leave when his contract expired in June before deciding to join Parma on a three year deal.

Parma have also secured the signing of promising Portuguese midfielder Danilo Pereira from Benfica.

He is touted as the next Paolo Sousa who also spent some time at the Tardini in 2000 but made just eight appearances.

Both players will be presented to the press tomorrow.
