Sunday, 29 August 2010Two Parma players called up to Italy squad

Both Luca Antonelli and Antonio Mirante have been named in Cesare Prandelli’s squad to face Estonia and Faroe Islands in Euro 2012 qualifiers.
Mirante had been named in Prandelli’s first squad for the friendly against Ivory Coast as a replacement for the incumbent Federico Marchetti and remained on the bench as the third choice goalkeeper.
Luca Antonelli enjoyed an impressive season with Parma that saw him linked with several clubs during the summer but recently chose to extend his stay at the Tardini with a new contract until 2015.
The Italy squad will meet up for training in Coverciano on Monday before making the trip to Estonia on Thursday in preparation for the opening qualifier.
