Parma suffered their third defeat of the season this time against a resurgent Atalanta side losing out 3-1.

Atalanta took the lead on the 43rd minute when Jaime Valdes converted a penalty, that resulted from Panucci foolishly cutting out a cross using his hands.

Atalanta’s lead doubled after half time when Tiribocchi scored his fourth goal of the season. Simone Padoin got away down the right and crossed for Tir’s free header from eight yards.

Parma pulled one back when Paloschi came off the bench to score almost 60 seconds later with a glancing header at the near post.

However Atalanta restored their two goal cushion with five minutes of normal time remaining. Federico Peluso scoring his first Serie A goal rising above a pack of players to meet a corner kick.

Parma will need to recover from this defeat quickly as they welcome Bari to the Ennio Tardini in three days time.
