Sunday, 25 October 2009Guidolin: “Not a huge set back”

Speaking after today’s 3-1 defeat to Atalanta Parma manager Francesco Guidolin gave his thoughts on how the team performed.
“The defeat today was definitely a setback for us but it could have been alot worse. We went into halftime 1-0 down from a nervous penalty kick and instead of responding straight away we found ourselves two goals down after the break. But to me we did well even though we lost the match. Despite all the build up in the media today we lost against a team that are equal to us and we were unlucky.”
“Against Cagliari we played very badly, but today however, we did not play badly. We lacked a bit of brilliance and vivacity, qualities that are important. But we cannot dwell on this defeat as we face a tough game against Bari on Wednesday.”
“Every team makes mistakes here and there and sometimes we lose against teams that we are equal to. We may not like it but it is important to stay determined and not let the defeat get to us.”
