After being greeted by over 2000 Parma fans for his presentation press conference Hernan Crespo spoke about his joy of finally being able to play for Parma again.

“I am still struggling to get around the emotions I’m feeling being back in Parma after so long. When I first came here I was only a kid and I’m now a father with two children and I want them to grow up in this great place that treats me so well.”

“I didn’t come here just for a hero’s welcome or for an easy ride, I came here to do my best for the fans and club. I have always strived to be professional and I will keep that up.”

“I was asked to take the number 77 by the fans as it is the year the Parma Boys were founded, to me this is a great honour and I hope to do them proud having one of their own out on the pitch.”

“I would like to thank President Ghirardi and also Leonardi for making my dream of returning to play for Parma a reality.”
