During yesterdays post match press conference Parma manager Francesco Guidolin spoke of how the team deserved to lose in the heavy 3-0 defeat to Catania.

“First I would like to congratulate Catania on the manner of their performance. We were completely outclassed today and can have to excuses as to why we lost.”

“We’ve been without a win in a month but this was never a team built for the Champions League or Europe and we have to be aware of this. Recent results have brought us back down to earth.”

“The only slight positive to take out of this game is Mariga’s recovery and how he played his first game in nearly two months.”

“Catania took their chances while we failed to create any, all that can be done is to chalk this upto experience and move onto the next match.”
