Parma picked up their first point of 2010 with a 0-0 draw against Udinese in spite of playing most of the match with 10 men.

Udinese had the best chance of the opening 15 minutes with Di Natale missing from a yard out after Sanchez whipped in a cross across the six yard box.

However Parma were awarded a penalty on 23 minutes when Zapata brought down Dzemaili in the area, but Udinese keeper Handanovic kept out Amoruso’s effort with a fantastic save to his left.

Things then got worse for Parma five minutes later when Daniele Galloppa was sent off for a cynical foul on Alexis Sanchez as he was clear on goal.

However chaos erupted when Udinese defender Lukovic was adjudged to have been elbowed causing Handanovic to fly out of his area and go towards Biabiany prompting the entire bench to invade the pitch eventually resulting in both Lucarelli and Di Natale being booked for their part in the incident.

Both teams came close to breaking the deadlock from corners with Biabiany making Handanovic work at his far post and Pepe heading inches wide just on the hour mark.

Sanchez should’ve given Udinese the lead when he broke through one on one with Mirante but the keeper just managed to take it off his feet.

Former Parma striker Bernardo Corradi hit the post for Udinese in the closing minutes and Antonelli coming close with a volley in the final action of the game that sees Parma pick up a well fought point.
