Parma defender Christian Zaccardo’s scorcher of a freekick nearly gave Parma all three points against Chievo on Sunday but for a miraculous save.

“I improved my game alot last year playing as a midfielder now at the end of every training session I pay particular attention to my shooting.”

“I’m glad we’ve improved alot defensively recently and it’s important we keep this up against Fiorentina on Sunday.”

“Chievo was the third game in a few days and most of the team was feeling the effects of exhaustion so I’m happy with the result despite not winning.”

“We still feel that we can make it into the Europa League places before the season is done particularly if we keep playing the way we have done anything is possible.”
